Medicaid for Families and Children

(Pregnant Women and Children's Health Insurance / Families Health Insurance)

Healthy Start / Healthy Families provides free health insurance for children, pregnant women, and families of low and moderate-income.

Eligibility is determined by the number of persons in the household and total household income.  Children in eligible working families living in Lorain County may qualify until they reach their 19th birthday.

Pregnant women, children, and families enrolled in Healthy Start /Healthy Families receive care through a Managed Care Plan (MCP).
