The PRC Program was suspended effective 07/15/2009 due to funding, with the exception of our Gas Card Program below.
Gas Cards
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE GAS CARD
The Food and/or OWF Assistance Group must contain a minor child living in the household. A minor child is an individual who has not attained the age of 18. The minor child can also be an individual who has not attained age 19 and is a full time student in secondary or vocational school. Attendance must be verified.
The adult member(s) of the Food and/or OWF assistance group must be employed a minimum of 10 (ten) hours a week and must have worked for 4 (four) consecutive weeks prior to the reapplication date. (Work hours cannot fluctuate below 10 hours per week),
At the time of reapplication, assistance groups must be in receipt of Food Assistance and/or OWF. (Card is only available at time of recertification, you cannot ‘apply’ for a gas card.) Assistance groups receiving Medicaid only do not qualify for this program. No benefits or services may be issued to an individual who is not a citizen of the United States or a qualified alien.
Clients are responsible for providing pay verifications. The agency will NOT verify any wages through TALX to qualify the client for a gas card. If the agency uses TALX system, then the client forfeits PRC gas card eligibility.
Each eligible adult member of the Assistance Group receiving Food and/or OWF Assistance is eligible for a Speedway Gas Card worth $250 no more than once (1) a calendar year.
Lost or stolen gas cards will not be replaced.
