Joining Forces is a collaboration between our agency and the Lorain County Joint Vocational School.  A Social services worker is based in the school, and acts as a liaison between the education system, families, and other community services agencies.  The social services worker works with students who are at risk because of developmental, academic, family, or behavioral problems, with the goal of improving the students' performance and helping parents support their child's efforts. Referrals to the program are made by parents, teachers, other school staff, and peers.
